As a sideline, her love of dogs has led her to create her "Canine Collection" which is handcrafted dog-themed jewelry for other dog loving humans. In 1995 Heather left her secure job as an Immigration Officer, in Ontario, with the Federal Government and headed west to Vancouver Island. Her need to be creative and her love of cooking led her to successfully complete her 3 year apprenticeship as a Chef. She is fortunate to have cooked in the kitchens of Sooke Harbour House, The Wickaninnish Inn, Cafe Brio and The West Coast Fishing Club on Langara Island to name a few restaurants. Heather created quality and uniqueness in her cooking; values which are also of utmost importance in her handcrafted sterling silver jewelry.
Heather decided to continue using flames to create quality and uniqueness but chose to use sterling silver and semi-precious stones instead of garden ingredients. Her sterling silver jewelry is not your average garden variety!! Heather’s jewelry entails the highest of quality, originality and it reflects her passion for creating jewelry to be worn for any occasion.
